Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Forest Lake, MN

This hotel has been and always will be close to my heart. I have four children that have stayed here multiple times with me, ages 18, 9, 7 and 2. I have stayed here while pregnant before my two year old came into this world, there have been situations out of my control and life circumstances where we needed a safe place to come to, we had lost our housing twice due to mold issues, in 2021 we had a luxury apartment in Forest Lake at two different places, Lighthouse Lofts AND Encore luxury apartments run by Norhart, rent was $2200 at both units and within one years time we lost both places due to poor construction of the central air conditioning units and leaks that were never detected until it was too late. Me and my children are highly allergic to mold and at both places we had black mold confirmed by testing. The only place I trust my children’s safety and well being at IS COUNTRY INN AND SUITES. We have had to stay for longer periods of time during these crisis situations, and Kate has always worked with us staying on a longer term, day to day basis. The hotel is always hospitable, our sheets and bedding are always clean, I have seen reviews on this hotel and I’d like to say that for the amount of time actually spent here and the level of trust I have for this facility and its staffing, I have to object to any and all negative reviews. My children have always felt safe here, and with a personal experience of being a domestic violence survivor, I have never questioned this hotels ability to maintain a safe and warm supportive atmosphere, in fact, this is the only place I run to if a crisis exists in our life that is beyond our control, and anytime we have had to stay here, God has changed our lives in monumental ways. If anything, this is a hidden treasure. Being an owner of a home cleaning business Immaculate Home Cleaning, and being a chamber of commerce member in Rochester and Brainerd and recently registered with Hudson and Stillwater Chamber memberships as well, a Minnesota Kiwanis member and an owner of a non profit that is registered with the Secretary of State in Minnesota that advocates for victims of human trafficking, Saving Grace Foundation; I can attest that Country Inn and Suites has been utilized since 2017 by me and my children, and is without a doubt a safe and inspiring place to rest your head at night, and if anybody could take something away with them after reading this, is don’t believe every negative remark you see or hear about a hotel. People like to nitpick and point out how normal things are sometimes missed if employees have a full deck of rooms to complete, the ones that have been here for a long time do an amazing job at keeping up with my own standard of what clean is, and as a mother of 5 children I would never choose another hotel to entrust our safety and dignity with. Thank you Country Inn and Suites for being our saving grace in life circumstances, and I pray that God blesses your business with all that you deserve which is the world for being a source of stability when our world felt like it was falling apart.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was good, & the pool area was great. Rooms felt a little stuffy but other than that everything was good!

Stayed here before, perfect location for my needs getting around the northern suburbs. Had an issue the first day, FD person (Alyssa?) was VERY helpful in finding a solution - great staff here! Breakfast was only so-so, but if that is important to you there are several places in the nearby area to get a more purpose-built breakfast - Keys is right next door!

Clean, warm, and inviting room. Comfortable and quiet hotel. My only advice is to spot check the furniture in between visits. Just a couple spots that were obvious food or beverage marks on the arms of the chair. Front desk associate was very friendly and greeted me very promptly and with a smile. :)

I'm not sure why the maid service never made the bed. I even put the service request sign on the board. I asked the counter girl but she said she was just the night shift girl and she could not answer because didn't know. They did give me towels and take out the trash. Very close to freeway on-ramp. Good location to stores and restaurants.

Service isnt great at the desk but rooms were clean! A decent breakfast also, the traffic gets annoying at the intersection near by.

The guy acted like we bothered him. Couldn't find reservation it was paid in advanced. Hotel had a weird smell.
